7. Get more exercise, but not within a few hours of bedtime.

Exercising before bedtime can help raise your core body temperature. After 30 to 90 minutes, your temperature will fall, helping to make you feel sleepy. Just make sure you don’t jump into bed right after you exercise, as your body will still be energized from your activity.
