Physicians Clinics

We are particularly proud of our clinics. Because of the twenty professionals who provide services in thirteen different disciplines, area residents do not have to travel to receive this care. Specifically, we offer Audiology, Cardiology, Ear, Nose and Throat, General Surgery, Neurology, Oncology and Hematology, Orthopedics, Pain Management, Plastic Surgery, Podiatry, Urology, Women's Health and Wound Care. Additionally, the Physicians of the Health Trust Physicians Clinic provide the specialties of Internal Medicine and Pediatrics, as well as family practice medicine.

Medical Clinics

The Health Trust Physicians Clinic and Earlham Medical Clinic are integral parts of our organization. We have four family practice specialist and three mid-level providers seeing patients in the clinic in Winterset and the clinic in Earlham. Also on the Winterset staff are our Pediatrician and our Internal Medicine Specialist. Both facilities are modern and up-to-date.

Rehabilitation Services

Because of renovations over the past three years, we provide a very modern rehabilitation wing to work with many cardiac and stroke patients. Our highly trained staff provides personalized care for the patient and his or her family. The staff includes RN educators, licensed therapists, and an RD/LD. We strive to work with the patient on a developing a plan that treats the whole person.

Imaging Services

Imaging is an important part of the services found at Madison County Memorial Hospital. Thanks to our partnership with Diagnostic Imaging Associates with Mercy Medical Center, we're able to provide a quick turnaround for reading of images. We provide modern equipment, including a 40-slice CAT Scan, ultrasound, MRI, digital mammography bone density scan, and vascular ultrasound.

Surgery Services

The surgical suites and recovery area were renovated in 2007 and allow us to provide services for many procedures. Not only do the two general surgeons, who are here every week, conduct procedures, but many of the visiting specialists do as well.

Causes of Skin Cancer

Exposure to ultraviolet (UV) light is one of the most common causes of skin cancer, and it can lead to a deadly form of skin cancer known as melanoma.
