Emergency Department

  • Physician onsite or on-call 24 hours per day
  • Partners with area ambulances and medical flight companies
  • All staff are Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certified (ACLS)
  • All staff are Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certified (PALS)
  • Level-IV trauma center
  • Partners with St. Anthony for stroke
  • St. Anthony's first-transfer

Primary Care

HGH has four clinics that provide primary care to our local community:

  • HGH Allen Health Clinic
  • HGH Physician Health Clinic
  • HGH Rural Health Clinic
  • HGH Wewoka Health Clinic

Physical Therapy

Physical Therapy is indicated for some of the following issues:

  • Recent injury
  • Recent surgery
  • Rehabilitation after an orthopedic procedure or stroke
  • Improvement of physical limitation associated with aging
  • Increasing strength after illness
  • Improving function after sports injur

Services are Available in the Following Settings:

  • Outpatient
  • Inpatient
  • Swing Bed (transitional care)

Diagnostic Imaging Services include


  • CT (Cat Scan - Computed Tomography) - new 80 slice scanner
  • MRI (Magnetic Resonance Tomography) - new equipment and technology produces excellent images
  • Ultrasound

Laboratory Services

  • Performs inpatient and outpatient testing
  • Can bring physician order from another facility and have test performed locally
  • Performs drug testing for commercial industry, such as DOT (Department of Transportation) physicals
  • Blood bank services for local blood transfusion therapy

Swing Bed Care

Swing bed is a Medicare-certified skilled nursing program that provides patients with short-term rehabilitative therapy. In many cases patients, who are not ready to return home after a hospital stay, need more time to strengthen and heal before they can step back into the routine of independent living.

Who Needs Swing Bed Care?

  • Patients needing continued wound care
  • Orthopedic rehabilitation after hip/knee surgery
  • Stroke rehabilitation – non-acute
  • Pneumonia, diabetes, congestive heart failure (CHF), COPD, and other conditions that meet criteria for skilled nursing
  • To heal and strengthen after a surgical procedure or hospital stay
  • IV therapy/antibiotics
