They need to know if you have any of these conditions:

• an unusual or allergic reaction to bacitracin, neomycin, other antibiotics, other medicines, foods, dyes, or preservatives

• pregnant or trying to get pregnant

• breast-feeding

How should I use this medicine?

This medicine is only for use in the eye. Follow the directions on the prescription label. Wash hands before and after use. Try not to touch the tip of the tube to anything, even your eye or fingertips.Tilt your head back slightly and pull your lower eyelid down with your index finger to form a pouch. Squeeze the end of the tube to apply a thin layer of the ointment to the inside of the lower eyelid. Close the eye gently to spread the ointment. Your vision may blur for a few minutes. Use your doses at regular intervals. Do not use your medicine more often than directed. Finish the full course that is prescribed even if you think your condition is better. Do not skip doses or stop your medicine early.

Talk to your pediatrician regarding the use of this medicine in children. Special care may be needed.

Overdosage: If you think you have taken too much of this medicine contact a poison control center or emergency room at once.

What if I miss a dose?

• breathing problems

• burning, stinging, or itching of the eyes or eyelids

• changes in vision

• lower back pain

• redness, swelling, or pain of the eyes or eyelids

• pain, difficulty passing urine

Side effects that usually do not require medical attention (report to your doctor or health care professional if they continue or are bothersome):

• temporary blurred vision

• tearing or feeling of something in the eye

This medicine is injected into a muscle. It is usually given by a health care provider in a hospital or clinic.

If you receive this medicine at home, you will receive special instructions. Take your medicine at regular intervals. Do not take your medicine more often than directed. Take all of your medicine as directed even if you think your are better. Do not skip doses or stop your medicine early.

You can cover the treated area with a sterile gauze dressing (bandage). Use this medicine at regular intervals. Do not use more often than directed.
