Tips for Winter Workouts
Be prudent; check the weather report before you head out.
Dress in layers you can remove as you warm up.
Avoid wearing cotton clothing next to your skin; shirts and pants made of polypropylene will wick sweat away from you.
Wear proper footwear with non-slip soles; be careful crossing icy patches.
Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water before, during and after exercise.
Be extra careful when walking or running along roadways; vehicles may have a harder time stopping at intersections and crosswalks.
Wear reflective clothing if you exercise early in the morning or after dark.
