Safe Sleepwear for Kids
Here's what experts suggest on kids' sleepwear:
Try to buy sleepwear that is flame-resistant. If you buy sleepwear that is not flame-resistant, make sure it is snug fitting but not tight and uncomfortable.
Make sure non-flame-resistant sleepwear has cuffs at wrists and ankles to help keep out fire or smoke.
Never let children sleep in non-flame-resistant, oversized T-shirts or other daywear, no matter how popular or comfortable it is.
Never allow your kids to fall asleep in bed in a bathrobe.
Follow washing instructions for flame-resistant garments.
