Helping Your Child Become a Joiner
Helping Your Child Become a Joiner
For kids who need a little push to join organized activities, here are some tips:
Find out what your child's friends are doing and encourage your child to get involved with those activities.
Take your child and his or her friends to sporting events, concerts or plays to spark an interest.
Invite your child's friends over to play ball, go swimming or put on small plays.
Encourage your child to get involved in activities he or she likes or is good at.
Get involved yourself, by becoming a troop leader or coach. But be sensitive to your child's feelings when you speak to him in front of others.
